At Knowledge 2025, Cloud Wars Founder Bob Evans hosted a forward-looking conversation with Rodrigo Rocha, Managing Director for Global ISV Partnerships at Google Cloud, exploring how the deepening partnership between Google Cloud and ServiceNow is redefining enterprise innovation through AI-powered platforms, agentic automation, and industry-specific use cases.
Highlights
Expansion of Google Cloud and ServiceNow Partnership (00:24)
Rocha, Managing Director for Global ISV Partnerships at Google Cloud, discussing the expanded partnership between Google Cloud and ServiceNow. Rocha explains that customer interest in the partnership has surged, with customers eager to run ServiceNow on Google Cloud infrastructure and procure solutions through the Google Cloud Marketplace. The partnership aims to address specific customer problems and opportunities, with solutions expected to go live this year.
Agent2Agent Protocol and Generative AI (02:28)
Evans discusses the rise of agents and the potential of agentic AI, asking Rocha about the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol. Rocha explains that generative AI’s adoption is faster than any other technology, and AI agents need to communicate across different systems. The A2A protocol is a common framework that allows heterogeneous agents to communicate, developed in collaboration with ServiceNow and other ecosystem partners. Without A2A, customers would have to act as master integrators, adding complexity and reducing generative AI’s value.

AI Agent & Copilot Summit is an AI-first event to define opportunities, impact, and outcomes with Microsoft Copilot and agents. Building on its 2025 success, the 2026 event takes place March 17-19 in San Diego. Get more details.
Business Value of Agents (04:36)
Rocha provides examples of real business value delivered by agents, including Seattle Children’s Hospital, where generative AI reduces the time required to analyze patient data from minutes to seconds. Another example is Mercedes-Benz, where an automotive AI agent in CLA-class cars helps customers with real-time searches and directions.
Appeal to the C-Suite (08:00)
Rocha explains that generative AI addresses productivity, collaboration, and cost reduction, appealing to the C-suite’s need to increase efficiency. He provides an example of how generative AI can handle customer service more effectively, reducing the need for additional personnel. There are many ways in which GenAI can enhance customer satisfaction and internal team productivity.
Future of the Partnership (10:06)
Evans asks Rocha to peer into the future, predicting what the world can expect from the ServiceNow and Google Cloud partnership. Rocha says that the partnership is discussed in multiple sessions at the show, with ServiceNow releasing AI Control Tower. The collaboration aims to integrate Google’s AI capabilities with ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower to deliver end-to-end solutions. Rocha mentions that the partnership will impact various workflows across industries, including customer service, supply chain, and retail.
