In this moment, excerpted from the Partners Ecosystem Digital Summit, which was held on April 20, Carl Eschenbach, co-CEO, Workday, tells Bob Evans how Workday co-creates with its partners and customers.

Highlights

00:08 — Eschenbach notes how the industry propels the notion of “people, process, and technology.” However, he says the “people process side” of the notion is probably harder than the technology.

00:34 — Bob asks Eschenbach how the Workday partners ecosystem plays into the co-creation efforts the company puts forward.

01:09 — The really interesting aspect of that, explains Eschenbach, is the ownership of intellectual property (IP). “If it’s us and our partners working on it, and the partner helps create it off of extend, they can own it.” The same applies to co-creation with customers.

02:26 — “We jointly want to be involved with our ecosystem because we have more knowledge of our platform, and we think it’s a better outcome for the customer as well,” concludes Eschenbach.
