Welcome to the Cloud Wars Minute — your daily news and commentary show, hosted by Cloud Wars Founder Bob Evans. Each episode provides insights and perspectives around the “reimagination machine” that is the Cloud.

In this episode, Bob projects Q2 growth rates and earnings figures for the top six Cloud Wars Top 10 companies.

Highlights

00:05 — Q2 numbers will begin rolling out this week, with a chance of slipping growth rates among the industry leaders due to recessionary fears and other global factors.

00:44 — While no numbers have yet been reported, Bob has amassed his own projections for some of the Cloud Wars mainstays’ quarterly commercial cloud revenue:

  • Microsoft projected up 29% to $25.16B
  • AWS projected up 33% to $19.7B
  • Google Cloud projected up 39% to $6.43B
  • SAP projected up 26% to $3.13B
  • ServiceNow projected up 26% to $1.68B
  • IBM projected up 17% (can’t yet specify revenue figure)

02:28 — Though growth rates along these projections would almost all be down compared to past growth, these figures still represent the greatest growth market the world has ever known. CEOs of these companies have routinely expressed confidence in consumer demand for their products.
