Kevin Icchpurani on How Google Cloud Approaches Its Partners Ecosystem

In this moment, excerpted from the Partners Ecosystem Digital Event which was held on April 20, Kevin Ichhpurani, Corporate VP, Global Ecosystem and Channels, Google Cloud, tells Bob Evans about the company’s approach to its partners ecosystem and how Google Cloud uses a closed loop mechanism with its partners and customers to raise the bar on quality, deployment, and innovation.

Highlights

00:13 — Google Cloud’s approach to its partners ecosystem is 100% partner-attached, says Ichhpurani. The company wants to bring partners in at an early stage, beginning with ideation, through proof of concepts and successful delivery.

01:20 — The bar of what customers are expecting is getting higher and higher. Therefore, Google Cloud is “externalizing” its tooling and best practices to its partner community.

02:01 — In order to drive higher levels of value and success, Google Cloud has put forth its Delivery Readiness Index (DRI) initiative, which demonstrates to customers that partners have the technical expertise and experiential knowledge to complete a project successfully.

02:22 — “So we have a closed-loop mechanism to continue to share with our partners what they need to do to raise the bar on quality because fundamentally, customers are looking for that successful deployment and quality,” says Ichhpurani in conclusion.
