00:38 — Six GenAI agents, a family of interrelated agents, were showcased at Google Cloud Next. Google Cloud has customers using agents for a variety of functions. Out of the 101 that Google Cloud highlighted in a blog post, I’ve selected my 10 favorites.
02:24 — In the customer category, one of my favorites was with Samsung; the S24 latest smartphone offers some nice creative features from images and texts. At Bayer, the radiologists can now spend less time manually grinding through some of the image analysis. Home Depot employees are using these agents to optimize inventory.

03:13 — At McDonald’s, customer experience is enhanced by improving employee experiences. On the creative side, French retail giant Carrefour is accelerating its creative process. Similarly, P&G is allowing high-level focus for the creative employees. South Korean company KakaoBrain has developed the largest Korean large language model (LLM).
04:04 — Wayfair says that its developers are using these code agents to develop 55%-60% faster. On the security side, the financial firm BBVA said it’s able to recognize, analyze, and make decisions on threat intelligence; what used to take hours can now be done in seconds.
04:58 — The big message to business leaders is that this is not the time to putter around and take months or quarters to work out what’s going to happen. This is one case where you don’t want to be caught on the trailing edge of what’s happening here.
