Cloud Wars is on location this week at the UiPath FORWARD customer conference in Las Vegas. Tom Smith sits down with Bron Hastings, senior vice president of global partners, UiPath, and Dhruv Asher, senior vice president of technology alliances, UiPath to discuss the exciting new partnership with SAP, the benefits of integration, and how these developments will enhance customer experiences in automation.
Highlights
00:35 — UiPath has become part of what SAP calls a solution extension. This means that some of its products have been placed on SAP’s price book for key product areas and have become available for the SAP sales teams to sell. This has been engineered to work seamlessly together.
01:21 — It’s the best of two worlds coming together. UiPath has a tremendous amount of respect for SAP and its install base and customers, and they’re solving customer problems together. One of the customer problems is migrating from ECC to S/4HANA. They’re minimizing the risk, lowering the cost, and accelerating the timeline.
02:42 — The opportunity right now is to work with the customers who are in this migration journey and moving to the cloud. Some of UiPath’s largest relationships, like the GSIs, are bringing solutions around industries, getting to some of the key elements that SAP is trying to drive right now, like a clean core.

03:30 — They’ve achieved this product truth, working together for the last two years. That’s just the start of a relationship with SAP, the SAP ecosystem, and the SAP customers together, and they’re going to continue to innovate. UiPath’s going to bring its robust roadmap together with SAP’s. It’s a multi-year partnership that will continue to grow.
04:23 — There’s always the opportunity. Because even though we’re working with SAP, we still have all these opportunities available with our products being announced right now. So I think especially as we bring everything together with our solution providers and our customers, we meet them where they are, and we also meet our partnerships where they are too. Great.
