Why Understanding ‘Native Digitals’ Is Key to Digital Transformation and Innovation

Christopher Lochhead forecasts S&P 500 market cap destruction wrought by native digitals.

Why will native digitals kill the S&P 500? By 2025, millennials will be 75% of the workforce, while today the average age of an S&P 500 CEO is 58, with only two of those CEOs under 40, Lochhead said. Everything native analogs know about how to recruit, train, develop, create culture, do marketing, do sales and support, is 180 degrees off the mindset and life experiences of your customers and your employees. “But other than that, you’re going to be great,” he said.

“Ignorance of how different native digitals are is going to be the largest creator of market cap destruction in the S&P 500 over the next decade,” he predicted.
