C3 AI has long been a provider of enterprise AI applications. With the onset of GenAI, the company quickly established itself in the GenAI market for large companies. Now, a new application developed in collaboration with Google Cloud is using GenAI technology to enable government entities to better communicate with the citizens they serve.

C3 Generative AI for Government Programs has been designed to streamline how federal, state, and local governments deliver information to citizens about essential government programs.

Accessibility Push

The public sector is, in some ways, the most complex and wide-ranging of industries, serving hundreds of millions of users. And the stakes are incredibly high. Using government portals, users can access information regarding essential services such as healthcare, employment, financial assistance, legal and public safety, and more. With GenAI, access to these services is easier and more efficient and the output is more accurate.

C3 Generative AI for Government Programs utilizes the C3 Generative AI application which benefits from a natural language search and chat interface that’s easily accessible to users of all levels.

From a client perspective, the new feature will help lower service delays and wait times, boost efficiency, and improve the overall user experience. C3 Generative AI for Government Programs is designed to understand the complexities of specific government programs. It supports more than 130 languages, and provides step-by-step instructions to users.

“Government programs and services make the most impact when those who need them can smoothly use them,” said Thomas M. Siebel, Chairman and CEO, of C3 AI. “This product offers an intuitive, intelligent interface that provides trustworthy information about programs like the Affordable Care Act, alleviating staff workload, accelerating information gathering, and transforming how the public can learn about and use critical services.”

Google Cloud Connection

C3 Generative AI for Government Programs runs on Google Cloud architecture, enabling the application to handle a massive volume of inquiries. In terms of GenAI output, the application uses Google Cloud’s Gemini family of LLMs, known for their high accuracy, ability to understand wide context, and powerful reasoning capabilities.

These capabilities are combined with C3 Generative AI which eliminates hallucinations, maintains precise responses and traceability, and adheres to C3’s enterprise-grade security provisions.

“Partnering with Google Cloud enables C3 AI to deliver innovative generative AI applications spanning multiple industries, with the security and privacy controls required by the most demanding of customers,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, Corporate Vice President, Global Ecosystem and Channels at Google Cloud.

Closing Thoughts

GenAI is a democratizing technology. In enterprises, it’s enabling regular business users to innovate using data-driven technologies, taking no/low-code infrastructure to the next level.

However, when you apply this degree of democratization to government agencies, the impact could expand exponentially. In this scenario, simplification, facilitated by GenAI, leads to access, and importantly, transparency.

When democratic governments can not only promise universal access to services but do so with a proven layer of security and transparency, this builds trust. And trust strengthens democracy.

Alongside Google Cloud, C3AI has developed a significant application that takes the power of GenAI and puts it into the hands of potentially hundreds of millions of public users, giving them access to the services that are essential to their life and well being.
