In many cases, customer use cases cluster around finance functions such as order to cash, procurement and eliminating duplicates in invoices and payments. These are sometimes considered low hanging fruit. Three additional use cases came to light this week.

01:42 — Healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson said it’s using Celonis and process mining as a foundation for QBRs or Quarterly Business Reviews. This means the tech is fully embedded into its business — that’s a sign of high maturity in its use of the software.
02:21 — A third example: process mining is helping an airline keep planes running on time by tracking all the events that have the potential to impact schedules, and it has saved hundreds of thousands of hours for one airline.
