After being on location at Celosphere 2023, I share insights from a Celonis customer interview we did while in Munich with PepsiCo.
Highlights
00:31 — Our final interview of Celosphere was with PepsiCo’s Chris Knapik. He talked about PepsiCo’s process mining journey, use cases, and generative AI opportunities.
00:56 — PepsiCo started with core process mining applications, which typically involve accounts payable, for instance. Now, it has upwards of 50-60 use cases, 10-20 of which are used for day-to-day operations.
01:27 — The company now uses Celonis to manage and optimize trade promotions, waste management, and ERP system transformation.
01:46 — Celonis acquiring Symbio has added to the company’s strength, as Symbio’s business process management will save customers from having to piece together diverse functions.
02:09 — During the interview, Knapik mentioned the new Process Intelligence Graph coming from Celonis, which was highlighted at the conference, that will make managing end-to-end processes more robust.
02:27 — In discussing generative AI and the new Celonis Process Copilot, Knapik regarded these as a “big step forward,” because it will allow current Celonis users in PepsiCo to extend their self-service capabilities without experiencing bottlenecks or delays.
