This AI Ecosystem Report, featuring CIO and Acceleration Economy analyst Wayne Sadin, features his perspective on Qlik Connect customer conference, where he’s been on location this week.
Highlights
00:22 — This year’s conference was renamed to Qlik Connect which is apropos because this is the event where Qlik aficionados — users, builders, creators, consumers — converge. In the opening keynote, CEO Mike Capone emphasized the need to think about AI the “right” way.
02:12 — Capone went on to discuss the need to focus on data quality and data analytics, which form the basis for proper AI. He also announced a couple of products:
- The Qlik Talend Cloud, which leverages the company’s data quality/data manipulation tool acquisition, that really complements the Qlik analytics capability. The company’s built a comprehensive cloud product supporting data ingestion, integration, and quality management.
- Qlik Answers, a GenAI toolkit that allows a customer to get answers from structured and, more interestingly, unstructured data so you can have one tool that allows you to consume, manipulate, and answer questions about whatever type of data is coming into your organization.
