In this Cloud Wars Minute, Bob Evans recaps his one-on-one interview with ServiceNow senior vice president of global partnerships, Erica Volini. This interview is a part of the lead-up to Acceleration Economy’s Partners Ecosystem Digital Event.
Highlights
00:40 — This week, Bob is kicking off a series called Partners Ecosystem Innovation, in which he speaks with the top executives leading the partners ecosystem businesses across several of the Cloud Wars Top 10 companies. To kick off the series, Bob spoke with ServiceNow’s SVP of Global Partnerships, Erica Volini.
01:05 — The big thing for ServiceNow’s ecosystem is that they want its partners to be involved “from ideation to transformational value.” Volini outlined three priorities that ServiceNow has for its ecosystem:
- Deliver transformational value to customers
- Add 1 million people to the ServiceNow ecosystem by the end of 2024
- Help partners — and customers — understand the end-to-end context
02:07 — When speaking about the innovation agenda for ServiceNow’s ecosystem, Volini noted that the company wants to be very upfront about the future direction of ServiceNow and show partners where the “open sky” opportunities are for them. On top of that, it is essential that the company builds out its Partners Solution CoE.
02:57 — Bob notes that Volini was “very big on the notion of intimacy” and open conversations, which allows ServiceNow to continue to build up trust with its partners. Another important factor in the ServiceNow partners ecosystem is “no more silos,” as ServiceNow wants its partners to be able to “deal in all the areas.”
03:40 — ServiceNow is a high-flying company with an annualized revenue run rate of nearly $8 billion. CEO Bill McDermott says the company wants to it $16 billion in revenue by the end of 2026.
