In this Growth Swarm moment, excerpted from episode 32 of the podcast, Tony Uphoff explains why Microsoft needs to provide customers with clarity after CEO Satya Nadella boldly stated that AI is “the next major computing platform.”

Highlights

00:13 — “As a leader of a marketplace, which Microsoft is, you have a responsibility not to stall or confuse the marketplace, in communication or lack thereof,” says Tony.

00:28 — A customer might hit the pause button because there is no such thing as future-proofing and new technologies could be right around the corner. Inadvertently, Microsoft and other companies could really do themselves and their customers a disservice by not clarifying things.

00:51 — Tony explains that “companies must be able to say, ‘here’s how we see these things fitting together. Here are the benefits we see to this technology. And here’s our near-term roadmap for taking you.'”
