Highlights
00:16 — SAP co-innovated with its customer, Ingles Market, to deploy a Covid-19 vaccine scheduling solution via the cloud.
00:28 — Ingles Market had a couple of goals with this. One of its targets was to maximize throughput. SAP met this goal by having customers fill out online forms while scheduling an appointment. This way, when the customer’s appointment time came around, the pharmacy just had to print their paperwork and have the customer sign it. This cut down appointment times by 10 minutes.
00:53 — Another goal of Ingles Market was to reduce vaccine waste. SAP helped achieve this goal by creating intelligent appointment slotting. The company controlled the opening and filling of slots so that vials of the vaccine were finished before they expired.
01:11 — SAP was able to deliver this solution to Ingles Market in a matter of weeks under their simple retail suite that is available on the SAP industry cloud. To date, SAP’s solution has been able to schedule over half a million appointments for Covid-19 vaccines in the markets they serve.
