A few years ago, it would have seemed unimaginable for companies with competing interests to join forces on shared missions — but that’s changing rapidly even in the Cloud Wars, as evidenced by the Microsoft-Oracle partnership. New partnerships are being driven in no small part by the need to develop and deploy AI technologies quickly and responsibly.
To that end, Google Cloud and UiPath have expanded their strategic partnership as they aim to accelerate Google Cloud customers’ access to GenAI and cloud-based automation.
Google Cloud Marketplace Availability
UiPath, already a premier-level partner of Google Cloud, has made the UiPath Business Automation Platform available on Google Cloud Marketplace. By enabling this availability, the partners are simplifying the process of buying, deploying, and scaling UiPath automation within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
It’s a win for customers because they can pair AI-driven automation with GenAI, operationalizing UiPath’s newly launched connecter to Google Cloud’s Vertex AI toolkit. Through the connector, customers can introduce GenAI into automation and achieve the following outcomes:
- Gain access to Google’s PaLM 2 Large Language Model (LLM) functions, such as text generation
- Develop and manage ML models and incorporate them into business processes through low-code/no-code architecture
- Build automation in UiPath Studio using Google Vertex data
- Integrate core features, including Google Vision via a prebuilt UiPath connector, Google Text Translate, and Google Text Analysis.

“Our expanding partnership with UiPath will help create new opportunities for businesses to utilize these capabilities to streamline thousands of processes with AI and automation, helping to save costs and unlock new innovation,” said Adaire Fox-Martin, President of Go to Market, Google Cloud.
Enhanced customer experience
By accessing UiPath technology through Google Cloud Marketplace, customers benefit from consolidated billing through Google Cloud, a streamlined procurement cycle, and additional cost savings through current Google Cloud commitments.
Deploying UiPath Studio and UiPath automation on Google Cloud takes minutes, and the ongoing management process for virtual machine instances hosted on Google Cloud is simplified. For Google Workspace users, UiPath provides over 100 integrations enabling them to automate event creation, file management, and business tasks such as email and document creation.
UiPath’s Chief Customer Officer, Kelly Ducourty, explained the significance of integrating UiPath into workflows for Google Cloud customers. “UiPath automation brings AI directly into business processes to help enterprises execute on whatever ideas and innovations they can imagine. Our partnership with Google Cloud is an essential part of our strategy to help joint customers achieve AI-powered automation across the business.”
Closing thoughts
While UiPath, a company built on a foundation of AI, already has various GenAI and specialized AI features, this advanced integration with Google Cloud is a significant boost to the reach of its technology.
Combining UiPath’s AI-powered automations with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI has clear customer benefits. Moreover, there are the productivity and efficiency gains that come when this technology offering is made available via a single touch point. Automation is all about efficiency, and for Google Cloud customers, the drive for next-gen process management just stepped up a notch.
