Acceleration Economy Cloud Wars Expo

June’s live Cloud Wars Expo event featured dozens of industry leaders allowing the Acceleration Economy team access to the inner workings of the greatest growth market the world has ever known.

If you missed the Expo or just want to catch up on sessions you were not able to attend, then you’re in luck. We recorded more than 40 hours of education sessions from the event, which are available for free to Acceleration Economy subscribers. We’re also previewing the content in this series of Moments, which feature highlights from each session.

In this Cloud Wars Expo Moment, Acceleration Economy analysts Tony Uphoff and Wayne Sadin explain why CEOs are the only ones who can change the way business is done, and why they must be transparent with their organizations.

Highlights

00:16 — Only CEOs and the board — not CIOs or CFOs — can change the way we do business. Wayne acknowledges that business transformation can be scary, but reiterates the importance of being honest and forthright, as these decisions can change people’s lives.

00:50 — As a CIO, Wayne says he wants to know about these changes as soon as he can and states that “communication has got to be tied to your chin.”

01:07 — To Wayne’s point, Tony further explains that “100% of the time, people already know” about the upcoming changes that companies intend to enact. He encourages CEOs and board members to share these changes with employees because they often have the details wrong, but know it is going to be impacting them.
