In this analyst take, Tom Smith and Kieron Allen review the highlights from the champion session given by Bayer CoE Lead for Process Mining and buyer Timo Peters during Celosphere 2022.

This analyst take is sponsored by Celonis, the market leader in process mining and execution management. Join the world’s top 2,000 process fanatics and learn to fix process inefficiencies at Celosphere, the company’s annual conference which is being held November 9th and 10th in Munich, Germany. Highlights

00:53 — During his champion session, Peters focused on ways to ensure success in process mining projects. In total, he offered 10 tips — which can be applied to various stages of process mining — on how to accomplish this.

01:27 — Peters began by explaining how process mining projects must be visual and include use cases to demonstrate to executives and customers how it benefits them. After creating the visualization, there must be in-depth demonstrations that generate examples of use cases, in order to find the “champion” solution.

02:06 — While executive buyers should be a large focus of process mining projects, product users must be the start in developing use cases for the technology. If this initiative is going to succeed, there must be governance around the data — the data must integrate naturally into an existing technology stack.

02:41 — Celosphere 2022 highlighted the importance of its partner ecosystem in forging sustainable solutions for customers — a mindset that is infused in many of the ways Celonis operates.

04:13 — Celonis has contributed to the increase in creating more collaborative tools that rely on its customers. ERGO, an insurance company based in Munich, is working with Celonis to embed insurance-specific technologies into the Celonis EMS, which has proven to be a strong development.
