1:06 – All of the Cloud Wars Top 10 cloud providers are moving rapidly into the area of sustainability with the move towards sustainability clouds and solutions – and SAP, Microsoft, and Google Cloud are the farthest ahead.
1:41 – Bob is starting a sustainability series looking across Cloud Wars Top 10 and will be starting with SAP as he heard a great deal about this topic at SAP Sapphire.
2:00 – Companies can’t treat this like a task force, or a committee, or some skunkworks thing. This has to be deeply embedded across a company’s financial capabilities and its operational data on an end-to-end basis.

Further, SAP understands that they’ve got a lot of data – and data is, of course, the key to how these sustainability efforts are going to work. Because without that operational data, it’s just everybody’s opinion.
3:09 – For SAP, all of the executives expressed an extreme amount of passion and optimism for what could be done. This is because they’re hearing from customers that this is not a fringe idea – it is a core mainstream business opportunity.
