Bob notes that the notion “data fabric” is often used when referencing this product, and points out how many do not understand what that means. “I hope SAP positions Datasphere very clearly in the language of customers.”
02:09 — A few years ago, Bob was under the impression that SAP was well on its way to becoming a leader in industry clouds and industry solutions. Now, he is not as clear as what SAP’s focus is relating to industries. “I hope they’ll clear this up at SAP Sapphire.”

03:15 — You can’t have a conversation without talking about generative AI. “I think it’s both a huge risk and a huge opportunity for SAP,” notes Bob. How does SAP plan to embed this in all of its enterprise applications, given they are the leading enterprise application developer?

Bob references last year’s event, where SAP exec Julia White gave a “dynamite presentation” about what can happen for businesses when they can fuse their supply chains and demand chains. “I think in some ways, SAP has to talk about this, and talk about it in the language of customers.”
