In today’s Cloud Wars Minute, I recap some of the comments from CEO Marc Benioff’s keynote at Dreamforce about the value of partnerships that enable extended, end-to-end capabilities for customers that a single company cannot provide alone.
Highlights
00:32 — CEO Marc Benioff said the arrival of Salesforce‘s new AIforce UI changes everything. No one company can handle all of the changes, so the corresponding expansion of partnerships that Salesforce undertook with these other great companies is a sign that customers want the simplicity, speed, and wide-ranging end-to-end solutions that will require all of the Cloud Wars Top 10 companies to continue to be as aggressive, expansive, and open-minded as possible with the partnerships they form.
01:26 — The new technology and the capabilities coming from these partnerships unlock much potential for customers — how much they can reduce migrations and integrations, complexity, and contractual issues.
01:46 — These partnerships will lead to some key outcomes. The heart of the Google Cloud partnership is Gemini Enterprise — the integration, the models being used, and its tighter integration with Salesforce’s data, applications, and Agentforce will lead to some powerful new outcomes for customers.
02:11 — With AWS, it’s wide-ranging. The expansion includes what’s going on with cloud infrastructure. It’s opening doors to new things in the AI Revolution. With Nvidia’s Nemotron, the new reasoning capabilities will make data more trustworthy and capable, as well as drive greater insights for customers.
02:58 — Salesforce enlisted Anthropic and Claude to let customers do more immediately with these technologies. Benioff went into detail in the keynote, essentially explaining how Salesforce can do a lot, but it can’t do it all. He elaborated on how this partnership will unleash new insights and capabilities that were never possible before. I think that’s exactly the sort of outcome customers are looking for here.
