Highlights
00:38 — During the interview with Bob, Arvind Krishna detailed what IBM customers are seeking and what IBM is doing to meet those expectations. IBM’s cloud revenue for the trailing 12 months was $22.2 billion, growing at a 20% rate over that 12-month period.
01:27 — It has been nearly three years since Krishna took over as IBM’s CEO. Bob notes the remarkable job he has done getting the company oriented toward the modern future and giving customers a chance to do things they have never done before.
01:54 — Krishna expressed a sense of optimism on a number of occasions. Krishna is bullish about many of the things taking place within the business, as IBM shifts its focus to artificial intelligence (AI) and hybrid clouds — the primary vectors for growth and enabling companies to become more productive. He notes that quantum computing is coming in the future as well.
02:23 — Krishna’s sense of optimism comes out in the deployment of tools like AI to help companies become more efficient and deal with labor shortages, which are expected to last for quite some time.
