If you missed the Expo or just want to catch up on sessions you were not able to attend, then you’re in luck. We recorded more than 40 hours of education sessions from the event, which are available for free to Acceleration Economy subscribers. We’re also previewing the content in this series of Moments, which feature highlights from each session.
In this Cloud Wars Expo Moment, Oracle VP of Global Product Strategy and Business Development Sohan DeMel shares telecom customer examples to demonstrate how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is able to support the various needs of large companies such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
Highlights
00:16 — A variety of large companies have databases that they have taken from on-premise and decided they no longer wanted to purchase hardware for peak capacity. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has enabled them to provide pay-as-you-go options.
00:56 — AT&T is one of Oracle’s customers. The company uses Cloud@Customer, which enables AT&T to run behind its own firewall.
01:07 — Another customer example is T-Mobile. Many of its customers are not buying devices anymore; they are leasing devices, such as mobile phones. So, with Oracle, T-Mobile is able to offer an owner leasing plan through the lending and leasing application deployed in the Oracle cloud.
01:32 — These customers exemplify how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure enables rapid deployment in the cloud for mission-critical applications when there isn’t much time to buy hardware and scale.
