Cloud Wars Expo in-person event will be held June 28th to 30th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

Tom Smith and Bob Evans come together for a special crossover of Cloud Wars Horizon Minute and Cloud Wars Minute to discuss the recent earnings reports of the Cloud Wars Horizon and Cloud Wars Top 10 companies.

Highlights

00:45 — Bob dives into Cloud Wars Top 10 highlights. He emphasizes the latest earnings reports from Snowflake, Workday, and Salesforce, as well as the enduring customer demand for cloud solutions and products.

02:17 — Tom cites Zoom‘s successful quarter, which beat forecasts with 12% overall revenue growth, and teased “tuck-in acquisitions” and expanded product lines in the near future. Automation vendor UiPath also posted strong numbers with 32% overall growth and 50% growth in ARR. Database firm MongoDB achieved the highest growth rate of any company Tom tracked in the past cycle with 57% overall revenue growth.

04:20 — Bob examines Oracle’s aggressive projection for its upcoming fiscal year, which doesn’t even include the acquisition of Cerner.

06:03 — Adding Cerner to the mix is estimated to take Oracle’s growth to between 44-47% in the next quarter.

07:20 — Tom further details how Cerner will carry an immediate positive impact. CEOs and CFOs know that their products are essential to the customers they support.

09:04 — Leading companies have transitioned IT from a cost center to a hub of innovation and revenue. Bob quotes ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott, saying in an environment like this, smart companies will continue to “Pour it on.”

11:00 — Bob estimates Salesforce‘s industry cloud business to be in the $4 billion dollar range annually.
