Highlights
00:45 — Bennison has led a remarkable transformation of SAXX over the last five years. Tony asks her to talk about that journey and describe the role that technology played in the transformation.
00:59 — Bennison explains that the transformation of SAXX was “really about recognizing that we had most of the tools that we needed that would satisfy the business in the earlier stages of growth,” but the company would soon hit a point where it understood that technology had to be invested in.
01:15 — The ERP transformation that the company is going through led Bennison to bring Livingstone on board, “which was a critical moment” for SAXX. Looking back, Bennison says there are a few things she wishes she would have done quicker, noting that the company “probably bandaged our old ERP system too long.”
01:58 — Livingstone “has a big ERP transformation” on her plate. Tony asks her what other tech priorities SAXX has for 2023 and beyond.
02:12 — Livingstone notes that she is “very happy to be getting out of bandaid mode of the current ERP,” and onto a more modern and scalable system. SAXX opted to use Microsoft Dynamics 365. A company priority for the upcoming year is on supporting the business through its transformation to a new ERP system, especially relating to understanding and measuring the adoption and productivity gains across the organization.
02:45 — SAXX wants to make sure the new ERP is being fully leveraged, which means actually using it in every way it possibly can. Additionally, Livingstone says SAXX is going to be focusing on understanding what’s working and what’s not, and feeding all of that data into its agile roadmap.
