Welcome to Episode 25 of the Cloud Wars Horizon Minute — featuring news and commentary hosted by Acceleration Economy analyst Tom Smith. Each episode provides insights into one or more Innovation Accelerators on the Cloud Wars Horizon.

This episode provides the CEO perspective of Alex Rinke of Celonis. In a detailed electronic exchange, Rinke went deep on a number of current hot-button tech industry topics:

Highlights

00:40— The current macroeconomic climate makes Celonis even more of an imperative for customers that must become more efficient to outrun supply chain disruptions, rising inflation, and talent shortages, Rinke says

01:10 —  Rinke says he frequently hears from customers that they have more than 250 systems that don’t work well together and they lose 30% of revenue because of these inefficiencies.

01:40 — Celonis sees inflation as a second pandemic, with disruptions that have revealed supply chain fragility. One of the key things to recognize, Rinke advises customers, is that the quality of your business processes including those in the supply chain can change your exposure to cost and volatility.

02:15 — Co-creation/co-innovation with customers is part of Celonis’ DNA – in fact, Celonis developed an inflation monitor app in close partnership with one of its longest-standing customers, an energy holding company.

02:30 — Transforming how a business runs its processes is the easiest and fastest way to achieve cost reduction, value creation, and sustainability goals.
