Acceleration Economy was on location at QlikWorld last month. In this video, Wayne Sadin speaks with Steph Robinson, Qlik Manager, Business Intelligence IT at food producer JBS about Qlik versus other data analytics tools. Qlik is on the Acceleration Economy Top 10 Shortlist of Data Modernization Enablers.
Highlights
0:09 — Wayne asks Steph what she thinks of Qlik Sense compared to other tools. Steph replies that the first tool she became familiar with was Tableau, which she thinks is wonderful but has limitations. Qlik is more user-friendly and can be used by someone with no IT background.
0:50 — With Tableau, one needs training to get up to the same point one can get to with Qlik without training. Tableau has some beautiful visualizations. Qlik offers easy access where everybody can kind of jump in and build applications and answer business questions and more. There’s a lot more flexibility.
1:35 — Steph thinks Power BI is very good for people who know Excel very well. However, Microsoft offers it very cheaply to companies, but then, when the companies get in, up goes the price, in her experience.
2:14 — The Qlick engine is something completely different than any other business intelligence tool.
