I wonder if even Bill McDermott—the ultimate eternal optimist and overachiever—could have imagined the extraordinary year that ServiceNow had in 2020 and the high-potential digital-workflow foundation it’s built for 2021 and beyond.

To gain some deep insight on where this red-hot company’s headed next year, please check out our comprehensive analysis of ServiceNow’s plans: ServiceNow and Bill McDermott Are Disrupting the Software Industry: Hallelujah!.

It’s the latest daily installment in our 10-part series called Cloud Wars Top 10 Special Report: Which Cloud Vendors Will Thrive in 2021?

Here’s a quick excerpt that reveals how McDermott, in an industry where key segments are jammed with superb competitors, has created lots of open space in which ServiceNow is operating and innovating:

“We don’t need anyone to lose for us to win. So if you think about the large system-of-record providers out there, we have no quarrel with them,” McDermott said of the other big tech vendors…. “Most CEOs and technology leaders have invested heavily in those platforms. And the last thing they’re interested in doing right now is switching out those platforms, especially in the COVID environment where speed, acceleration, resiliency and serving customers and employees are at the top of their to-do list. So that’s not a problem for us.”

For the full in-depth analysis of how McDermott plans to quickly drive ServiceNow from $4 billion in annual revenue to $10 billion, please check out this exclusive and lively analysis.
