In a couple of days, I’m heading to Las Vegas for Oracle CloudWorld, the largest annual gathering of the Oracle community. The event gives Oracle customers and partners deep insight into the company’s latest product developments and the technologies defining today’s rapidly shifting, tech-driven economy.
Oracle CloudWorld includes a massive range of sessions and keynotes befitting a vendor with one of the industry’s broadest product portfolios spanning cloud services, applications, generative AI, databases, industry clouds, and much more.
In addition to healthcare, finance, HR, and cybersecurity, a number of the sessions will focus on AI. It’s in this area that I’ll concentrate my event coverage alongside some of the keynotes that are expected to provide visibility into the company’s product roadmap.
Oracle and the Evolution of AI
On day one of the event, I look forward to diving deep into Oracle’s AI and generative AI strategy while hearing from other industry leaders about how the technology will continue to shape businesses as the relentless drive for AI innovation continues to gather momentum.
I’ll attend several sessions that will reveal how leading organizations approach AI integration and discover how some of the most well-known companies are utilizing AI to provide enriched services to their customers.
I’ll learn how Oracle will leverage AI technologies to support its customers and boost efficiency while also hearing from Oracle experts about the guardrails required to utilize generative AI, particularly, in a way that brings enormous benefits to businesses, securely and strategically.
The use cases for generative AI have featured heavily in my coverage of various companies over the past year, and I’m looking forward to hearing an authoritative perspective on the technology from a vendor in the Cloud Wars Top 10.
What’s Next for Cloud?
On day two of CloudWorld, I’ll focus on a number of the event’s keynotes. I’m excited to hear how Oracle will continue developing its cloud services, which are already formidable, and learn how its cloud technologies have impacted customers. This will include a session where Juan Loaiza, executive vice president of mission-critical database technologies at Oracle, will discuss the future of data and app development.
This is a keynote I’m particularly excited about, considering the data awakening so many organizations have experienced amid the generative AI boom. And, of course, it will be fascinating to get insight into how data is transforming organizations in every industry directly from Oracle, a titan in data management by virtue of its flagship database and wide range of data-centric cloud services.
While at CloudWorld, I also expect to spend time with Oracle customers in a series of one-on-one interviews. Major industry events like this, where customers, partners, and employees are all present, are an invaluable setting to get a feel for the impact of a company on their customers. And CloudWorld is the ideal place to talk in-depth with some of Oracle’s premier clients.
Closing Thoughts
Oracle CloudWorld promises to be one of the most significant tech industry events of 2023. Aside from the sheer number of sessions, the variety of discussion topics and the quality of the speakers leading them promise to make this year’s CloudWorld a milestone, particularly when it comes to exploring the impact of AI on current, and forthcoming, business strategies.
I’ll be posting videos recorded at the event as part of Acceleration Economy’s On Location coverage throughout the week, so be sure to stay tuned and up to date with the latest news by returning to our site or following our coverage on LinkedIn.
