In today’s Cloud Wars Minute, I discuss IBM’s latest report on AI leaders and how businesses are using AI to drive growth.
Highlights
00:03 — IBM has released a report titled “AI in Action“ that’s based on a survey of 2,000 companies in the U.S., UK, India, Japan, and Germany. The survey, conducted by Harris Poll, found that 15% of businesses identify as AI leaders, while 85% of businesses are classified as learners.
00:27 — Four key characteristics define an AI leader. The first is investment. Second is data management. AI leaders also report better alignment between the C-suite and IT departments when it comes to achieving AI maturity. Lastly, they believe they can effectively tailor their AI strategies through customization, including the use of APIs.
Ask Cloud Wars AI Agent about this analysis
01:07 — Shobhit Varshney, vice president and senior partner, IBM Consulting, said the following: “Of the organizations that were considered AI leaders, two-thirds reported that AI had already driven a 25% or greater improvement in their revenue growth rate.”
01:33 — I believe this report highlights two important points. Firstly, it is not too late to become an AI leader and drive growth. Secondly, it is essential to trust the process. The data and tools are available. All it takes to move forward and prosper in the AI space, it seems, is the confidence that you can deliver the outcomes you desire.
