00:01 — Bob cites the incredible growth, innovation, and vision displayed last week at Cloud Wars Expo, and singles out three big priorities that he took away from the event around industry clouds, sustainability, and supply chains. Bob will go over a couple of key points in each of these areas.
00:43 — First, in the industry cloud category, there is just huge momentum, both from the customer side and the vendor side, to deliver unique solutions that are designed specifically for new ways of doing business in this digital age. These solutions allow businesses and other organizations to have more refined processes and gather data more effectively than ever before.
01:26 — The second trend was around sustainability with all of the major vendors keely into it. They’re all driving some powerful new solutions that are integrated across their existing solutions, which means customers won’t have to somehow general contractors and pull it all together.

What Bob found particularly interesting was how more big cloud vendors are saying that they have to find ways to tie supply chain and demand chain together, so these will be more integrated than ever before moving forward. These gains in supply chain technology will drive enormous change in the processes that companies use today, both in terms of what they’re able to do, and where they’re able to do it – small manufacturing plants located closer to customers.
02:53 — Bob’s initial and informal impressions are based on conversations with attendees on the customer side, but also with big vendors including Google Cloud, IBM, Workday, SAP, Microsoft, and Oracle. This all points to an optimistic future, but also, for these current somewhat troubled times, a lot of new capabilities to help companies be more productive.
