Navigating the ecosystem of GenAI products and service providers can be a complex undertaking. In addition to figuring out which technology they need to drive strategic business goals, companies also need to consider how functionally robust that technology is.

Now, Amazon has launched the AWS Generative AI Competency program, which enables organizations to choose a GenAI offering validated by the company to help AWS customers expedite GenAI adoption and make business-savvy investments. The program consists of over 40 partners with software, hardware, and services that have demonstrated technical proficiency and customer success using AWS GenAI technologies.

“Partners play an important role in supporting AWS customers leveraging our comprehensive suite of generative AI services,” Swami Sivasubramanian, vice president of database, analytics, and ML for AWS, said about the program.  “We are excited to recognize and highlight partners with proven customer success with generative AI on AWS through the AWS Generative AI Competency, making it easier for our customers to find and identify the right partners to support their unique needs.”

In this analysis, I’ll run through a representative sampling of the AWS Generative AI Competency partners and what they provide to customers.
