In Episode 197 of My Metaverse Minute, Kieron Allen discusses an important industry entering the Metaverse — retail — and why retailers need to prioritize customers when developing the virtual retail experience.

00:23 — It may seem obvious that retailers should focus on customer experience before product. However, for many retailers, the product takes priority over customers.

00:32 — Retailers are innovating to the best of their abilities but, in doing so, are failing to enable their products to be useable. Usability is critical for wide-scale adoption and many organizations are neglecting useability over innovation.

01:21 — Companies in the retail industry must remember that customers in the physical world are the same as those who exist in the virtual world. Consequently, Metaverse experiences must be built for virtual customers, not simply with them in mind.
