Highlights

00:15 — This episode is brought to you by the Cloud Wars Expo. This in-person event will be held June 28th to 30th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

00:41 — Wayne introduces two articles he recently read about people not working. First, in a Connecticut town, people aren’t working anymore downtown, and merchants are suffering. Second, many people are not returning to work in big cities, particularly New York.

01:02 — The pandemic sent everyone home, showing everyone that we can work from home effectively. Many invested in equipment and networks to allow remote work to be effective.

01:40 — The pandemic proved we don’t have to physically return to work. The investments proved we don’t need to physically work in an office again. The great resignation and low employment prove that people don’t want to return to the office. So, C-suites and boards need to be prepared to change their business models.

02:07 — Wayne recently talked with TSX Entertainment. The company is spending $2.5 billion building out an entertainment venue in the Times Squares.

02:43 — Organizations need to build business models, tools, and technology around the notion that people want to work from home or work from anywhere.
