00:30 — Ashton explains that a customer that uses ClearScape analytics is The Very Group, “a pure-play digital retailer based in the UK.” The Very Group is running VantageCloud Lake on AWS with ClearScape Analytics and AWS SageMaker, “all for their complex machine learning capabilities that they’re looking for, to predict customer product demand in their online retail store.” The Very Group also wants to be able to conduct demand forecasting.
01:12 — With Teradata and AWS, The Very Group is creating a bottoms-up demand forecast at the store and SKU level, “rather than creating an aggregate demand forecast and then distributing it kind of tops down.” Ashton describes this as “almost a personalization of demand forecasting at the store and SKU level, which previously would have been nearly impossible to do at scale with a price performance against it.”
