In this Data Revolution Minute, Pablo discusses the recent publishing of the Data Science Landscape for 2022 and compares the findings to the Data Science Landscape of 2020.

Highlights

00:39 — Anaconda published the Data Science Landscape for 2022 which is an annual survey given to thousands of data scientists.

01:15 — The results of the 2020 study focused on the adoption of open-source software, whereas the 2022 study focuses on the security aspect of open-source software. This is driven by recent events in the open-source community and the vulnerabilities that have arisen.

02:22 — Pablo says his impression of the report is that more companies are beginning to focus on the factor of security and notes it will not disappear anytime soon. The report discusses the talent retention rate of companies and encourages his audience to view it themselves for those findings.
