In this Digital CIO Summit moment, excerpted from the digital event which took place from April 4-6, Goya Foods CIO Suvajit Basu describes the attributes and requirements of the modern CIO to Bob Evans and Tony Uphoff.
Highlights
00:05 — “I think the modern attribute of a CIO is actually to not worry about the technology at all. The technology infrastructure should be transparent, it should be available 24/7,” says Basu.
00:51 — Basu explains that CIOs must create an infrastructure that is secure. “We need to understand cybersecurity very, very well. We need to understand that our workers can be anywhere, they need to understand the edge… it can be anywhere now.”
01:00 — Identity is important, but cybersecurity must be woven into the endpoints, he explains. “It starts with the identity. But then you have endpoints, you have the servers, and the networks and all these people, all these systems, the networking — everything needs to be monitored intelligently.”
01:27 — All of Goya Foods’ cyber-systems have artificial intelligence (AI) built into them, and most of them exist in the cloud.
