Salesforce Talent Hub Connects Employees, Employers To Advance Data and AI Careers

Recently, we reported that Amazon is implementing a strategy to tackle the artificial intelligence (AI) skills gap by offering training to upwards of two million people as part of its AI Ready initiative. Now, Salesforce has announced the Trailblazer Career Marketplace, an extension of Trailhead, the company’s existing free-to-use online learning platform.

Discover how AI has created a new ecosystem of partnerships with a fresh spirit of customer-centric cocreation and a renewed focus on reimagining what is possible. The Acceleration Economy AI Ecosystem Course is available on demand.

The Trailblazer Career Marketplace will enable users with AI, data, and CRM skills, many of which can be gained through accreditations via Trailhead, to connect with employers within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Bringing Together People, Open Roles

Building on the company’s existing provisions for skills building, the Trailblazer Career Marketplace is addressing the global skills shortage while addressing the oncoming influx of AI-related jobs. The platform enables job seekers to display their relevant talents while employers, currently limited to Salesforce partners, can post open roles.

While the standard format of the talent hub makes it appear on the surface to be a regular jobs board, it’s not. The platform is rooted in the Salesforce economy, which, according to a recent study, will create 11.6 million new jobs and $2.02 trillion in business revenues by 2028.

Access to this thriving economy, where the skills required to drive it are also incorporated into the ecosystem’s fabric, benefits both employees and employers.

Key Marketplace Features

The following features exemplify the benefits of the Trailblazer Career Marketplace.

Career Mode: Salesforce professionals can demonstrate their skills and experience with the platform and credentials gained through Salesforce learning programs with a dedicated profile. This profile page can also include a personalized introductory video.

Candidate Search: This feature enables employers to search for candidates that have enabled Career Mode. Users can filter searches through various metrics such as years of experience, specific Salesforce product experience, and certifications. There is also an option to publish bespoke profiles that allow potential employees to learn more about the company and available roles.

User control features: Trailblazers — users searching for jobs on the new marketplace — control what personal information is displayed and the credentials they wish to highlight. The aim is to eliminate bias in the selection and hiring process.

“We know there is demand for data, AI, and CRM skills, and it’s our mission to help empower anyone to build a career within the Salesforce ecosystem,” says Ann Weeby, senior vice president of Trailhead. “With Trailblazer Career Marketplace, we’re opening career pathways for learners everywhere while adding a more personal touch to the jobseeker experience.”

Closing Thoughts

Salesforce is going full throttle in striving to maximize competency in the new AI ecosystem. In October, I covered new education grants the company put in place to help foster a culture of AI understanding in educational institutions.

With its new marketplace, the company is recognizing its position as a leader in generative and other AI technologies and honing in on its network to develop a best-in-class ecosystem of AI, data, and CRM experts while opening up these opportunities to its partners.
