In this Cloud Wars Minute, Bob Evans discusses Snowflake‘s Telecom Data Cloud, focusing specifically on the notion of it being a “manifest destiny for industry clouds.”

00:31 — Yesterday, Snowflake came out with an interesting announcement about its Telecom Data Cloud. Bob notes that this is a “manifest destiny for industry clouds becoming the only way that businesses are going to want to use cloud services into the future.”

03:27 — This announcement points to the fact that “what got us here in the cloud is not going to be sufficient to take businesses where they need to go over the next two or three years,” notes Bob. He predicts, “That future is going to be deeply around industry-specific clouds, like what Snowflake is doing with its Telecom Data Cloud.”
