00:38 — Chris Degnan, Snowflake’s Chief Revenue Officer, has been with the company for 10 years, and was one of Snowflake’s first salespeople. A key focus of Degnan’s is how partners help drive the data economy. The partners that Degnan references are not just traditional partners within Snowflake’s ecosystem, but also customers, who are now developing apps on the Snowflake platform. Over at Snowflake, customers are becoming partners, as well.
01:34 — Snowflake’s partners ecosystem consists of system integrators and tech vendors, but “the big new wave” is customers. An example of a Snowflake customer becoming a partner is IQVIA, a healthcare and life sciences company. IQVIA is using Snowflake as its distribution platform for its data.
02:15 — As it relates to priorities for Snowflake’s ecosystem, Degnan says Snowflake is seeking “out-of-the-box thinking for data providers to create revenue and serve customers better.”
02:50 — Degnan also emphasized Snowflake’s sharp industry focus, and its need to find partners that align with those industries. Currently, Snowflake is deeply rooted in healthcare and life sciences, media, financial services, telecom, and retail.
