I’m on location at Community Summit 2023, where a pre-conference event was dedicated to exploring artificial intelligence (AI), particularly Microsoft’s Copilot.

Highlights

00:12 — The day kicked off with a fantastic opening keynote from Alfredo Ramirez, GM for business applications at Microsoft.

01:09 — There was this interesting Fireside Chat with Aaron Back and Microsoft’s Ashvini Sharma and Tom Marsh talking about how generative AI is different from AI and machine learning that isn’t generative and how this magic can be tapped into responsibly.

02:17 — Beth Burrell talked about Copilot for customer success. Another speaker talked about GPT and Copilot, describing five roles to assign to generative AI to really get value out of it.

03:29 — Another real highlight was when Tom and Ashvini came back and gave a hands-on walkthrough of Copilot for Power Apps and Power Automate, and showed how you can use real English to tell it to help you build a power app based on an Excel spreadsheet.

04:10 — At the end of the day, there was a great talk between Aaron and Bob Evans, who was talking about the future of AI and giving predictions about where he thought things were heading.
