How Clari Solves ‘Intractable’ Sales and Revenue Visibility Issues With Generative AI Platform

In this moment, excerpted from the Generative AI Digital Summit event, which took place on May 25, Clari VP of Product Phil Cooper explains how the company’s RevGPT technology helps sales and revenue teams be more productive.

Highlights

00:20 — Cooper notes that he’s been in the machine learning (ML) and data markets for a long time and Clari is looking to solve a problem that has been intractable: summarization is quite hard and RevGPT “absolutely nailed it.” (Summarization, in the form of what Clari calls Smart Summaries, provides instant recaps of revenue-critical calls and automatically helps revenue teams execute follow-up actions.)

00:39 — The Clari technology introduces “loads of fantastic predictive techniques” that help leaders gain a view into the “up level” when it comes to engagement with an account, providing the big picture for a chief revenue officer, or CRO, to see what’s going on.

00:56 — Then there’s the ability to provide the next piece of advice that can be given to a rep in the course of a call. Rather than applying brute force, it could recommend three battle cards a rep could use, including nuanced options that the AI has generated and it’s figured out when to surface those to the user.

01:28 — This functionality provides a huge productivity gain, creating a good “stub” from the machine after which a salesperson can add their color commentary before sending.
