In this exclusive moment from the Acceleration Economy Cloud Wars Top 10 CEO Outlook 2024 series, CEO Frank Slootman of Snowflake explains the need to remove or reduce complexity surrounding generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) so that businesspeople can understand it and capitalize on it.

Highlights

00:52 — Slootman cites the need to “abstract” GenAI to let customers engage and interact at a level that makes sense to them rather than having to step into technologists’ world to derive the benefits of the technology.

Register for Acceleration Economy’s Cloud Wars CEO Outlook 2024 Course, now available. Featuring exclusive interviews on strategy, AI, and customers with the CEOs of Cloud Wars Top 10 companies.

01:05 — “But of course, you know, we’re infatuated with tech and we can’t stop talking about all
the cool stuff that it does,” Slootman says, comparing it to 100 years ago when a person needed to be an engineer to drive a car, whereas now there are self-driving cars. “AI is the epitome of abstraction because we can now use natural language….we’ve fully bridged the divide between man and machine.”
