OpenAI introduced GPT-4o mini, its most cost-efficient and smallest language model (SLM). This model is 60% cheaper than GPT-3.5 Turbo. It supports text and images. The company said it will support audio and video in the works. OpenAI’s model enables users to apply AI more broadly and in remote environments around the world without racking up computation costs.
