The Acceleration Economy Analyst Network reacts to Analyst Predictions for 2022. In a roundtable discussion, Aaron Back is joined by analysts Kieron Allen, Frank Ohlhorst, Chris Hughes, and Wayne Sadin to talk through the advancement of AI.

Highlights

03:23 — Artificial intelligence is making its way across business applications and cloud databases. It’s well into the realm of practical use cases. For instance, there’s governance, ethical AI, and AI accessibility. As this technology continues to evolve, the analysts discuss what we should be expecting in the upcoming year.

06:21 — Artificial intelligence and automation have been intersecting. Now, automation can process guidelines and make decisions.

06:56 — Many people don’t fully understand how to define artificial intelligence—particularly when it comes to the context of using it for business.

07:52 — How do we make better decisions that are able to adapt better to the surrounding world? AI has capabilities to collaborate and assist people, such as with robotics. So, we may see more integration of robotic assistance to adapt to the post-pandemic workforce.

09:57 — The integration of robotic assistance, for example, speaks to the evolution of people needing to upskill and transform their focus moving forward. There’s still the need for advanced work—people just need to transform their skillsets. Also, businesses still may struggle to identify what the best use case is for AI within their organization.

11:48 — How will emotional AI develop? From the health and wellness perspective, apps can be developed in a progressive way.

13:03 — AI needs to interact with technologies, such as wearables, in order to learn from the user and best help them.
