01:02 — In its use of Informatica, Kroger’s goals centered on its supply chain, specifically, the company wanted to reduce out-of-stock products by ensuring prompt delivery to its warehouses. They wanted to ensure vendor delivery compliance and also to recover costs incurred by late-arriving products; also, incentivizing vendors to deliver their products on time.
01:25 — Kroger worked with Informatica to integrate its decentralized supply chain using a series of tools including Informatica Edge Data Streaming, Informatica Power Center, and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, all into the Google Cloud BigQuery platform.
01:41 — Data was accessed by Tableau and the applications allowed the Kroger team to analyze historical warehouse data supply chain data; moving the information from an on-premises environment to Google Big Query slashed the time it took to carry out analytics to a matter of minutes, while being highly scalable.
01:53 — Kroger avoided millions of dollars in missed sales because products were delivered on time to its warehouses and to the Kroger stores.
02:12 — Finally, using historical data, Kroger could develop enterprise KPIs such as real-time inventory levels. Kroger is just one of 5,000 Informatica customers.
