OpenAI’s ChatGPT has shaken the foundations of the tech world. Its generative AI capabilities, which appeared in the realm of science fiction not more than a few years prior, have arrived.
From the gleeful marketing manager who needs to develop content quickly to the relieved software developer looking to expedite projects, ChatGPT is being embraced to help a wide spectrum of business users and consumers to do their work better and faster.
Of course, with Microsoft’s early interest and more recent $10 billion investment in OpenAI, it was just a matter of time before the big bang moment happened. And, as promised, this week, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella launched the new Bing, complete with AI superpowers.
However, Microsoft isn’t alone in embracing generative AI. C3 AI, one of Acceleration Economy’s Top 10 AI/Hyperautomation enablers, has launched its Generative AI Product Suite, and the first product to be released is C3 Generative AI for Enterprise Search.
C3 AI develops an AI platform that includes 40 AI applications, development tools, and an app testing platform. This comprehensive toolkit enables enterprises to carry out data-driven transformations across various use cases; the introduction of the generative AI model could accelerate these transformations.
“C3 Generative AI will fundamentally transform the human-computer interaction model of enterprise application software and represents a pivotal moment for enterprise computing at large,” Thomas Siebel, chairman and CEO of C3 AI, said in a statement. “C3 AI is uniquely positioned to take advantage of generative AI, integrating its advanced capabilities into practical, everyday enterprise experiences.”
AI-Powered Enterprise Search
C3 Generative AI for Enterprise Search is defined by the kind of user experience that next-generation AI technology enables. It provides a natural language interface that any business user can access to rapidly find and utilize enterprise data from any system in the company.

So, what does this mean for C3 AI customers? The ability to retrieve data more quickly and easily will help employees unlock deeper insights and expedite action.
Beyond this, it should enable users to get more creative with their requests, thanks to the accessibility of natural language processing. Ultimately, the technology provides a way for technical or non-technical users to dive deeply into the company’s data trove, finding new ways to boost efficiency and streamline business processes.
“C3 Generative AI for Enterprise Search, combines the power of the existing C3 AI Platform with a search model similar to Google’s natural language processing and generative pre-trained transformers,” Siebel said. “This breakthrough will provide access to timely, accurate information and insight at all levels of the organization – and will ultimately change everything about enterprise computing.”
The Full Suite
The full C3 Generative AI Product Suite will integrate cutting-edge AI technology from various organizations, including OpenAI and Google, as well as generative AI models such as ChatGPT and GPT-3.
This technology will be embedded into C3 AI’s enterprise AI applications, enabling customers to transform critical business processes such as supply chain management, sustainability strategy, and customer relationship management (CRM).
C3 Generative AI Product Suite is expected to be applied for use cases in aerospace, oil and gas, utilities, consumer packaged goods (CPG), healthcare, financial services, and defense and intelligence.
The technology will become available from C3 AI next month.
Concluding Thoughts
What stands out about C3’s approach to generative AI implementation is the focus. The company is rolling out the technology as an integrated service to enterprise customers to carry out enterprise tasks, using enterprise data. While general public use of generative AI will undoubtedly serve as an essential driver for many large tech companies, C3 AI’s targeted approach and focus on enterprise organizations set it apart.
