In this Acceleration Case Study, learn how United Pacific Industries, a manufacturer of accessories and replacement parts for big rigs and classic cars, improved its customer experience with a web store. United Pacific Industries needed to find a way to meet its marketing and sales goals better. Finding a way to implement a user-friendly site was a top priority. Read how United Pacific Industries accomplished this by implementing a web store with the help of Sana Commerce.

Business Challenge – Improving Customer Experience

Before launching its online catalog, United Pacific Industries used traditional sales channels for decades. The company tried to implement numerous e-commerce platforms. However, these platforms didn’t meet their expectations. Because of these failed implementations, United Pacific realized that simply having an online catalog available isn’t enough in today’s digital work environment.

The company needed a solution that served as a dealer portal for its B2B buyers while integrating with their Dynamics NAV ERP system. Another top concern was having access to long-term scalability options as well as critical functionality for a B2B use case. Eventually, the United Pacific Industries team reached out to Sana Commerce to help implement a platform to meet their business needs.

Previously, United Pacific used solutions that offered an online catalog for customers. However, ERP integration was either not possible or it would require a lot of customization for it to work well. These challenges would often ruin the relationship with each solution partner. Furthermore, it would force the company to switch over to another partner and restart the entire process. Ultimately, this resulted in a lot of wasted time and resources.

Software Solution – Using Sana Commerce for Web Store Development

United Pacific Industries worked with Sana Commerce to help launch a Dynamics NAV-integrated B2B dealer portal in early 2020. The new web store successfully met all of the requirements for the marketing and sales team at United Pacific, including:

  • A modern appearance
  • An easy-to-navigate website with detailed search functionality to make it easy for finding parts
  • Dynamic pricing capabilities
  • Integration with Dynamics NAV ERP to support a complex database
  • Easy implementation process
  • User-friendly design
  • Quick and easy customization options

Due to its simplicity, this web portal was especially beneficial for the marketing team. Now, marketers can focus more on content development and other priorities. They won’t have to spend extra time navigating a complex system. Working with Sana Commerce allowed them to meet their technical requirements while still keeping it simple for anyone to use.

Since creating the web store, United Pacific has received positive internal feedback throughout its departments. Additionally, B2B customers have a much better online experience that wasn’t possible with other platforms. Using this online web portal met the organization’s needs while also exceeding customer expectations. The positive experience of using this solution eliminated nearly all internal or external resistance, which was a significant plus for the entire company.

Final Results

United Pacific Industries had defined top priorities. Firstly, they prioritized building stronger relations with clients. Secondly, they needed a solution that would meet the needs of their growing business. By launching their Sana Commerce web store, United Pacific was able to experience more benefits than they though was possible.

For example, the marketing team at United Pacific was shocked about the simplicity of the platform. Marketers can easily create new content for the online portal without even having much technical expertise. Using this platform only gave the marketing team more confidence, as they could efficiently respond to customers while also experiencing a long list of SEO benefits.

However, the Sana Commerce solution isn’t only an effective online revenue source for United Pacific, as it’s also a great way to add more value and develop strong relationships with each client to help take their business to even greater levels of success. The team at United Pacific is considering implementing another web portal for its classic car business division. This will also operate on the Sana Commerce Cloud.

While United Pacific has used many different web platforms before, they couldn’t even find one that met all of their needs. Using the Sana platform completely changed everything and improved the customer experience. It brought United Pacific more success in one year than all other solutions combined in the last 7-8 years. Partnering with Sanna Commerce was one of the best investments for United Pacific, as they look forward to many more productive years with the company.
