John R. White is one of the leading innovators within the B2B food and beverage industry, as they decided to create an online channel for e-commerce. The primary goal was to provide customers a modern and convenient way to do business online easily.

Creating a website tailor-made for their brand and industry was a top priority. However, they were also looking at ways to decrease costs and save employees time. The company also wanted to minimize or eliminate non-value tasks for employees, such as repetitious data entry. Due to the large volume of B2B orders, it was essential to find a solution to boost performance, security, and scalability for handling business and client data.

Business Need – Improve User Experience and Eliminate Manual Tasks

John R. White was looking at ways to foster customer loyalty by creating a tailor-made user experience. Besides focusing on customers, the company also needed to eliminate manual order and data entry tasks. Finding a software solution to boost the performance of their website while offering security and scalability was also a major concern.

Everything began to change once John R. White was introduced to k-eCommerce by their ERP provider, ACE Microtechnology, Inc.

ACE Microtechnology offers professional services to various businesses, whether through Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics GP, and Dynamics 365 CRM business solutions for small to mid-size companies. One of their primary goals was to deliver services and products to enhance client operations throughout the distribution, hospitality, and manufacturing industries.

Instead of simply developing technology or implementing new software, ACE offers real-world value by providing industry knowledge by taking the time to understand the operational model for each client. This is one of the main reasons why k-eCommerce was an excellent fit for companies working in the B2B food and beverage industry, such as John R. White.

Technology Solution – k-eCommerce

The k-eCommerce solution is specifically built to help B2B businesses by offering the latest available features to help improve the B2C customer experience. This technology made it the perfect fit for John R. White, as it enabled them to create specific product listings and pricing for each customer.

The design team at k-eCommerce also worked with John R. White to create a customized design to match the company’s vision, such as using a quick-order template and other convenient features to improve the shopping experience for clients.

Native integration into Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP made it possible to automate order processing, data management, and invoicing.

The brand new website for John R. White also experienced an increase in speed, scalability, and power due to the high-performance of the k-eCommerce’s private cloud hosting. This technology enabled the company to maximize uptime without having to worry about any infrastructural issues.

Undergoing the PCI Level One Certification process each year also provides peace of mind to ensure the data remains safe and secure.

Results

The clients of John R. White love the new site, as they often tell the team numerous compliments on how it’s much easier to use than the other version.

The web store no longer needs manual data management or order entry, which results in fewer expenses and a much more efficient order fulfillment process. Self-service account management and ordering even further minimize service calls, which allows the company to operate more efficiently.

John R. White initially set a goal to acquire a minimum of 60 new e-commerce clients within the first year, but they exceeded their objective by acquiring 70 new clients.

The company is only getting started in e-commerce. They are beginning to plan another phase for developing their web store, which includes additional features and provides even more benefits for their customers.
