How a Customer Moved its Core Financials to the Cloud, Fast… Not Furious:
The City of Columbus is the 14th largest city in the United States. In early 2021, it moved its administrative applications and supporting financial processes to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 software suite. Moving its core financials to the Cloud was done on Azure Cloud services. This implementation is one of the largest Microsoft Dynamics 365 clients in production. For instance, it has over 700 active users and 7,000 external vendor portal users. Additionally, it has a transaction volume of 12,000 invoices per month. While this project began in 2019, they successfully completed the critical phases of the project remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
