I was on location at Automation Anywhere Imagine as it reached a close and shared my key impressions.
Highlights
00:33 — This conference had a huge number of actual doers. This is clearly a platform that is suitable for the professional developer and also for the casual developer who is just building something to get their department a capability it didn’t have.
01:22 — Everybody’s excited about artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Generative AI is changing the way Automation Anywhere deploys its system. It makes it easier for the user to figure out how to build stuff.
01:45 —This is a product that goes beyond robotic process automation (RPA), beyond the narrow, “Let’s screen-scrape off one system and feed it into another” and gets into the full realm of what you can do by connecting the dots, i.e., taking an application that you bought from one vendor and an application you bought from another vendor and providing the glue.
02:09 — That means you don’t have to write heavy-duty code and get down into the application processing interface (API) layer or in some message-passing layer. Further, according to Automation Anywhere, it has a safety layer built in.
